Latest Work Party Pictures October/November 2015
During the months of October and November SCRS volunteers have been working hard on the New Double Locks at Pocket Nook , in St.Helens
On Sunday10thOctober, five SCRS volunteers began work at New Double Locks. Their task was to clear trees and unwanted vegetation from the almost dry canal bed at the top of the locks.
These top two pictures show the work that was carried out on the towpath side of the top pound above the locks. The young trees and saplings have been removed and all the litter collected.
The lower pictures were taken on the 8th November. On the left we see the site before work began and on the right the site at the end of the day.
